Interesting article on getting old Bob-Lo Island Employees together. A note. I worked on the Detroit Docks as a taicket takeet and then on both boats as a "buff boy" in the '50's. My first date ever could have been a youn lady who took my heart. Her name was Pat Willette, I think and I saw her boarding the boat in Detroit. I made the trip to the island on my day off to get a date with her. She worked in concessions and I just couldn't crank up enough courage to ask her out. she was very petite and cute. the year might have been 1955.
I was really mad at myself for chickening out.
